The Knights kick off 2025 right! – 3 Game Win Streak!!

The kids from Whalley have been flying high in 2025 by stringing together 3 straight victories! In fact they have won 4 of their last 5 and are 8 (W) and 5 (L) since November 30th. Pretty impressive run for the Knights.

Coaches Liboiron and Thompson have all systems going with great penalty killing from Alistair Lau, Kirit Sran, Wendell Adriano, Devyn Hayre, Jovin Athwal, Keaton Mclean, Jackson Jesson, Noah Iacutone, Sean Robbins, Lucas Randall & Johnny Lopez. Ever since Kris Ramos was ambulanced out of the arena against Grandview the Knights have taken it upon themselves to play at a different level. Block shots, strong physical play in front of the net, & discipline have been key in their success on the PK this last month of hockey. TheĀ  “Do it for Ramos!” ethos is really paying dividends.

As for the Power Play, Wendell Adriano, Kirit Sran, Brenden Kwan, Bronson Sales, Parkor Sarai on PP1A and Devyn Hayre, Lucas Randall, Sean Robins, Johnny Lopez & Noah Iacutone on PP1 have been a one two combination punch that has the opposition reeling. Its really been a pleasure to watch.

Last nights game versus the Abbotsford Pilots was a real test as they beat the Knights a couple weeks back 8 to 3 in a humbling game for the kids from Whalley in Abbotsford. The Knights were up to the task when they built up a 2 zip lead in the first with goals from Bronson Sales (Assists – Sran & Iacutone) and Ryan Schill (Assists – Kwan & Sarai). The crowd was buzzing after those first 20 minutes and you could feel good vibes in the air.

Parkor Sarai & Brenden Kwan got the score to 3 – donut in the second but the Pilots mounted a come back when they scored 2 on Koen St Hilaire. It should be noted that goaltending has been excellent from both goalies this past month St Hilaire and Marcus Taylor have been a fantastic goalie duo. The team has really been confident lately with these guys between the pipes.

In the third period while the Pilots scored one more and really pushed hard they couldn’t stop the Knights who outshot them 15 to 12 in the final frame. The Parkor Sarai show kicked in and he scored 2 more goals getting his second hattrick of the season and career. The assists came from Sales and Adriano. It was fitting that Sarai earned the hattrick last night as is serves as a launch pad for him into the All Star break….where he was picked to represent the Knights on Jan 13th in Port Coquitlam. After the All Star game the Knights play the Kodiaks where they try to push the streak to 4 games. Should be an exciting week.
